Jack Swigert

Number 7 in the collection is Jack Swigert. Command Module Pilot in the ill fated but miraculous Apollo13.

Jack’s second colour is a grey, cool grey 3. It’s one of the better second colours but I can’t help feeling I’ve not made best use of it. This is the least satisfying painting in the collection so far. I wasn’t happy with the likeness and tinkered afterwards, narrowing down what felt to me like too fat a face. It’s better now but there are still aspects to it that I don’t like. I’ll see how the final collection looks in its entitreity before deciding whether to have another go at Jack in a different pose.
