Portrait Artist Of The Year 2025 Entry

I’ve bitten the bullet and put in my entry for Portrait Artist Of The Year 2025.

My self portrait is this one.

For my second portrait, I went with Gary Delaney.

And for an optional third painting, not necessarily a portrait, I went with Doctor Zachary Smith.

Gutted not to also be able to submit Gary Moore and Phil Lesh but I’m Only allowed to submit three works. In the end I went with Gary and Doctor Smith just because they had most in common with my selfie. It was a strategic decision to go with consistency rather than variety.

If I’m picked to appear on the show, don’t expect to hear about it until the autumn when Sky Arts start plugging the new series with a montage of self portraits.
