William Anders

Third up in the latest collection is William Anders, Lunar Module Pilot in Apollo 8. I guess he must have spent a lot of time making the tea as the lunar module wasn’t ready in time for this mission and, rather than doing some lunar module manoeuvres in Earth’s orbit, they headed off to orbit the moon, which sounds more interesting but might not have been for the LMP. I¡m pretty sure they didn’t even take a lunar module with them.

William’s second colour is lime green a nice light colour, even if a little acidic. He’s holding a glass suit helmet in the source photo, which explains the rainbow shoes arch at the bottom. I like the look in the eye but the likeness isn’t quite there. Still, as I always say, these collections when seen together exceed the sum of the parts.
