Sean Connery

I’ve been feeling pretty grot this week and I know from experience that if I paint when I don’t feel like painting I’m not going to come up with anything worth looking at, so things have been pretty quiet lately. I’m feeling better today but, as loch would have it, I only had a two hour window for painting. I have a couple of interesting ideas planned but both involve masking fluid, which does weird things if left overnight, so I couldn’t make a start on those.

Instead, I blew off a few cobwebs with the quickest painting possible: a monochrome posterised portrait using markers. Today O went for Sean Connery. I used the dark blue marker to bring out his Scottish heritage.

Despite some weird stuff going on with his left eye, he’s instantly recognisable. So he’s going up for sale, with the price to be found here.
