Kerri

After Saturday’s fun with the Artgrafs, I wasn’t ready to put them back in the drawer and fancied using them to paint a figure. Today’s model is Kerri (no relation) making her debut. I picked out this pose because of the drapery, something that seems to work in Artgraf.

Today, though, I had the devil in me and couldnā€™t resist putting down far too much pigment and wetting all of it. The body didn’t come out too badly with all that colour (putting aside the poorly drawn arms for now) but it’s the drapery that bugs me the most. If I’d just wet a few curved lines in there and left the rest of the pigment dry, it would have looked better. And the head looks like it doesn’t belong on this body.

A few years ago I’d have been happy with this but we’ll soon be in 2025. This one’s going in the reject pile.
