Jackson’s Art Prize 2026

No painting today but I have submitted these two works for the Jackson’s Art Prize 2026. Both have been taken down from the shop window for now. They’ll stay off until at least 25 February, when Jackson’s will be announcing an extended longlist. Prize winners will be announced overnight period 23-27 March.

I could have entered five paintings for the price of four but, after putting together artist’s statements for these two, was doubting whether I had enough blarney left in the tank to be able to repeat that three more times.

I’m happy with these two though. They’ll give the judges plenty to think about.
