Gary Hanna, Gary Eats

Here I am, out in the studio on a chilly morning. What am I doing here? Well I’m here to paint the last member of the New YouTube Six. It’s Gary Hanna, creator of the Gary Eats channel and author of this book (as an Amazon Associate, I earn commission from qualifying purchases but this costs absolutely nothing extra to you). What I like about Gary isn’t just that he’s an amazing YouTuber but that he’s also a really good guy. When another foodie YouTuber was going through a stressful time, Gary was teaching out to him offering support and I think that the two of them may be collaborating together at some point. I’m really looking forward to this one. As always…let’s give it a go!

I went with blue as Gary’s second colour. Was that an error or was it genius? I don’t know but it’s added to the emotional content of this one, turning what was a serous look into quite a melancholy portrait. Just as with all the other portraits in the collection inboxes personality. But I’m getting ahead of myself. I’ll talk about the collection in the next post.
