Upchurch Art & Craft Exhibition June 2024

It’s that time of year for naming squads and that’s what I’ve been doing over the weekend. These are the twelve paintings that I’ll be taking along to the Upchurch Art & Craft Exhibition.

For those of you that are local to me, it’s at St Mary’s Church in Upchurch, Friday 14 June to Sunday 16 June, 10.30am to 4pm on ll three days. I’m not sure exactly how it’s going to work. My guess is that it will be primarily an art & craft fair but that there might be two or three stands if artists exhibiting their work and charging more than all the other stands, But we’ll see. Being Fathers’ Day weekend, there’s always the chance of some sales, and there will hopefully be something for me from the kids to brighten up m6 weekend even if nothing sells.

Anyway, art-wise I decided to go with portraits this time round. And I’m making them all watercolours. I have other stuff in oil pastel and coloured pencil but I’ll be saving those up for the Upchurch Winter exhibition. I really like all the paintings here and can’t help fantasising about seeing jaws hitting the ground when people see all these paintings on display together.
