More figure drawing. Ā Today's model is EvaE, making her debut. I came in today with…
EvaE In Blue And Brown
Yeh, so today I did two paintings in parallel. After deciding to paint EvaE in red and green because of the interesting way those colours mixed, I thought it would be worth doing a similar painting but with blue and two browns (specifically brown and dark brown) because blue and brown always make a good brown.
The process I followed was the same s for the previous painting. I started by colouring in the dark shapes with the browns before going over all the darks and mediums with the blue. The idea was that blue would look better than brown in the mid tones, just like red would have looked better than green in the previous painting.
Because these were painted in parallel, they have a lot in common. Everything I hate about the first I hate about the second. When my paintings are bad, they’re very bad indeed.
